Laureano Ruiz was my mentor. Every training session, every game, every minute with him was an opportunity to learn… I can´t thank him enough for all he´s done for me and I thoroughly recommend that you read this book. It will without doubt help you become a better soccer placer and a better coach. As Laureano himself would say, with the publication of this book, the winner is soccer itself.

He made us study the game. Yes, I remember that every week we had a theoretical test. It was just like being in school. Everything i learned, I learned thanks to him. It is true that every coach you come into contact with teaches you something, but I learned the most important aspects of the game with Laureano… I can guarantee you that a great coach will get you to the top in the game. Laureano is the best and his book will show you how to become a ´star´either as a placer or as a coach.

Editado en EE. UU. (Pennsylvania) por Reedswain Publishing. El editor es Bryan R. Beaver,
www.reedswain.com In this book, Ruiz presents his training methods and philosophies for coaching goalkeepers. Included are exercices for each level and invaluable advice from this master of the game.
The majority of coaches merely regurgitate what was drilled into them 15-20 years ago by their coach. But the routines, the knowledge and the drills are all outdated as they are merely hended down from coach to coach over the years. It is a vicious circle. However, Laureano does not follow this pattern. He isa t the cutting edge of soccer training, making full use of all his knowledge and experience in the game to help train players to meet the needs of the modern game.
